Planning to attend the Powder & Bulk Solids Conference in Houston next month? It’s a great opportunity to connect with technical experts and engineers in the bulk materials and processing industry. I’ll be presenting a short course on selecting process solutions. I hope you’ll join me Tuesday, Sept. 10 from 2:30 – 4:00.

As I’ve said before, and will probably say again, every process solution has distinct requirements that necessitate a systems approach to solid-liquid separation technologies selection. My short course will outline the holistic approach required to select the appropriate separation technology.

Our discussion begins with consideration of the slurry characteristics and process parameters. I’ll also present bulk separation technologies for high solids slurries, for batch or continuous operations, pressure, vacuum and centrifugation and down
to clarification for removing or recovery of small particle fines for solids in the 1 – 5% solids range to PPM levels.

We’ll examine applications including chemical, pharmaceutical, energy, lithium, battery materials and recycling. Finally, we’ll turn to the importance of testing as well as the impacts of filter media and filter aids on the best technology selection.

Check Out My Dynamic Abstract

Reading a conference abstract doesn’t always appeal to everyone. So, I’ve also incorporated a more dynamic marketing approach in my conference pitch. Using my The P&ID Minute platform, we developed a video abstract for this process solutions presentation. Check it out:

Here at P&ID, we’re not just about technical expertise. We also offer marketing innovation. We’d be happy to develop a similar abstract video for you. Or, let’s talk about other ways you can use The P&ID Minute platform to extend your reach and get your message out there.
